We all know by now that I just can't do store bought Valentines for my kiddos.
Do I have anything against store bought?
Absolutely not.
I just prefer to stress out enjoy the creative side of making custom ones!!
Here are the creations this year...
Which turned into these...
I attached the Fun Dip packets to the back behind the wording.
Now Taylee's...
And for her special Teachers...
I thought they turned out so cute!
However I'll admit I really stressed about Anden's though.
He's seven years old now.
I've probably milked the custom cards too long with him.
I knew this year was probably going to be iffy.
So I did have a back up plan in case he didn't approve.
This morning went like this,
Me: "Honey I finished your cards last night!! What do you think?!!"
Anden: "...Um I like them..."
I knew right then Plan B was going to be necessary.
Me: "Why the hesitation? What don't you like about them?"
Anden: Silence...and points to his own picture.
Me: "Well no worries because I wasn't sure if you would want your picture.
So we can cut them in half and just have the words and candy?"
Anden: Smiling..."Ya I like that way better!"
Ahh he's growing up! :(
So right there I got out the scissors and chopped my hard work in half.
Well at least just for the boys' handouts.
He decided the girls could still have his picture! ;-)
As for Taylee,
She LOVED hers!
At least I'm batting 50% folks!
