Ryan's dad is in town visiting from China.
So we tried to hang out as much as we could
after we got back from all of our travels.
So we had his dad (otherwise known as Papi) and
Heather, Merit and the kids up for a
Pre Fourth of July Party!
We all met at the Community Center and went swimming!
Yes, we're always patriotic even down to our piggies!
Heidi got brave and jumped off the high dive for the first time!

But then Ryan put them all to shame
as he splashed the whole pool!

Then we headed back to our house for dinner
Of course the kids couldn't stay dry for long.
I don't blame them!
It's just too hot not to be in water!
Finally it was dark enough to start our own little fireworks show.
So we piled out to the front yard.
To see which idiot person could come closest to burning off an appendage

(and that isn't a good thing to win lol)
This is what it looked like every time Ryan lit a firework;
total chaos and flames and sparks
Finally it was sparkler time...a tad bit safer!

Laiklyn wasn't too sold on these crazy things
Kaitlyn walked down and joined us for the fireworks too
Laiklyn did so well just watching and staying up way past bedtime!
There's always plenty of people to love and spoil her!
