We finally kicked off
Lake Season 2016!!
We've been so busy that this is actually one of our latest first trips!
But we were determined to fit in a quick one Saturday afternoon
after sports, naps and before friend bday parties!
The first trip of the year is always a gamble if everything on the boat is going to work properly!
We (ok me) almost had heart burn when the prop wouldn't go down
and I'm shooting water everywhere as I drive away from the launch ramp.
Ryan got the panic phone call from me as he was parking the car/trailer.
Luckily we had power steering fluid in the boat
because that's all it needed.
Ryan finally admitted that's the only fluids he didn't check. Oops!
Once that was out of the way it was off to the freezing open waters!
Laiklyn is at such a crazy nonstop moving stage we thought this might be a disaster.
But she did really well!

It was a tubing only day.
The water was literally freezing!
It has been an abnormally warm March
but we picked the weekend it was rainy and cold!
I just love being at the lake.
