The boys were walking zombies getting up and ready for to leave for Paintball.
I soon found out that the first wave fell asleep at 4am.
The others were 5am and 6am!!
Yes I woke them up at 7am!
I put on my cheery face even though I too was exhausted and was still
telling Anden to quiet it down or else at 3am!
Breakfast of Paintball Champions!
Cereal and Donuts!
Then half loaded into the Escalade with me
and the other half in the truck with Ryan
And we made the 30 min drive into scary old town Phoenix to the Paintball Range.
Half of the boys slept on the way there!
I'll let you guess which ones! lol
They were still a bit groggy when we arrived.
The range was running a bit behind.
We were already sweating at 9am!
So we loaded back into the car, turned on the AC and a movie until they called our group!
Alright we're up for the safety briefing!
Geared up and ready for the first match
It was quickly evident that they were in a league way above their heads!
I knew this range was where the pros practiced.
I think they were all on the field that day!!
Break time to compare welt injuries!
Meanwhile I was discreetly talking to a ref to get us into our own field with more beginners.
The batting the eyelashes worked and he pulled our group for a training and individual round!!
This ref became our personal instructor!
Suddenly the boys had so much more fun on an evenly matched round!
Ryan couldn't resist any longer and joined in the fun!
No way I wanted even of those big welts on me!
So I opted to stay back and sweat and take pics! :)
We took a quick 5-10 min break in between each round.
Good thing I brought a whole costco case of water and gatorade!
The boys drank every last drop!
It was SO hot!
They started the day in their protective long sleeves and gear.
But they were melting underneath it all and started pulling off layers
(Sorry Moms that explains the massive welts on your boys!)
We had our personal instructor take the boys to each different range.
They opted to try out the desert dirt range next
Then it was back to a turf course!
At this point a few of the boys were actually bleeding from being hit in their knuckles!
Ouch!
So they opted to sit this one out and hang with me instead!
I talked the instructor into letting me onto the course for a few pictures.
They're extremely strict about safety and wearing masks all the time once inside the net.
So yes I'm wearing a mask in order to take this picture! haha
Survived another round!!
They let you play as long as you could until you ran out of ammo.
We brought thousands of rounds and it lasted us longer than I expected.
Well except the ones that got wasted....and I found them on the boy's butts!! haha
The boys wanted to keep playing and we were getting short on time.
So Ryan ran and picked up lunch and brought it back to us while they kept playing!
These are some HOT SWEATY HUNGRY boys!!
The boys decided to just go to the shooting range and do target practice with the rest of their ammo.
Then we loaded up to head back home.
Luckily we had heard how messy the boys would be and brought sheets and towels
to cover the seats of the car! lol
As we were pulling out they were all saying how much fun they had!
I asked Anden if he was tired.
He said nope.
5 mins later....
2 more were asleep in the very back!
By the end of the drive they were all asleep!! haha
We were all so hot and sweaty!
Literally within seconds of getting home we were all straight into the pool!
Of course we couldn't forget the Happy Birthday singing and cupcakes!
In the chaos I lost the "1" candle! lol so we improvised!
13 or 3...this kid always gets more food ON his face than IN it! haha
Eventually all the boys got picked up to go home.
They were all completely exhausted but raved about it being the best party ever.
Then Anden opened their presents.
Sheesh that kid raked in a ton of money.
I told him he could pay me back for the party! lol ;)
Then Anden crashed asleep for the deepest nap ever!!
I felt so bad when I had to eventually wake him up for him to get ready for his football game.
You know he's tired when he BEGGED me to let him sleep and skip football! lol
Meanwhile the other moms were texting me how their boys went straight to bed
the second they got home and still weren't awake!
I guess that means they had a blast?! lol
Later I found out that one of them literally didn't wake up until the following morning! haha
It was definitely an epic party!
One that might take me a whole year to recover from!!
