Turf Install and Nurse Duties Continued

Date: Aug 3rd

Poppy spent the night at our house
and stayed with us again today to help out with the kids!
He had planned to be up here all weekend anyway with the girls
while Ryan and I were supposed to be in UT.
But surprise, I'm still in town! lol
Ryan on the other hand is enjoying the nice cool weather in Salt Lake City
and prepping for the wedding later today!

I did get Anden moved out to the family room.
I'm sure he would have rather been holed up in my bedroom on the xbox all day though!

Today was a nonstop stream of "knocks" on the patio door from the workers.
Which meant it was a nonstop stream of Home Depot runs by me or Poppy.
Good thing Poppy was here because after hauling the little girls on the first trip,
I just handed him my card and sent him alone on all the other trips!
"We need more nails, we need more sand, we need more pavers,
we need more mortar, we need more cinder blocks, oh wait those are the wrong nails,
we need more nails, etc, etc, etc!!!"

I guess this is what you get when you hire someone just for labor and we provided all the supplies!
Sure hope this is worth it! haha

The workers busted their tails today and are hoping to finish up tomorrow!
Once they left for the day,
Anden decided he wanted to get out of the house and get a steak.
So we hauled the gimp to Texas Roadhouse for dinner.

The little girls were SO excited to take turns pushing the wheelchair! haha so cute

After a yummy dinner it was back to the car.
This time with Eastlie getting her turn to push Anden!

Then back home to play outside and send pics of the backyard progress to Ryan.
We were trying our hardest to assist the workers to get this whole thing wrapped up
prior to Ryan getting home.
I wanted to surprise him and have it done and not have him have to worry about trying to
do the labor himself.

Tomorrow they'll finish the last section in the far corner
and then build the pony wall around the pool equipment

LOVING how the turf looks with the pool!!
So clean and crisp!
Can't believe this was a dirty construction disaster a week ago!!

Gosh we sure did patiently wait a long time to finally build this pool!!
Pinch me that it's finally a reality! :)

And then some night time swimming to wrap up the day!

Later that night Lauren sent me pictures from the wedding!!
Craziest story.
It's a beautiful summer mountain day.
As they're all ready and heading to the outdoor wedding up in the mountains,
it starts raining...then pouring...then horrendously hailing!!
Ryan sent me a picture and I totally thought he was kidding and using an old picture from winter.
The ground was COVERED in white hail!!!!
My heart broke for them!
They've been together forever and have 2 cute boys together.
They finally after all these years decided to get married in a small ceremony.
And the weather turns awful right at the time they were supposed to get married.
So they sat in cars and waited and waited and waited out the storm.

Just as the sun came out,
they said let's do this!
And they marched out into the forest and sealed the deal!!

The pictures look gorgeous!
You wouldn't know they were just in a massive storm.
Until she pointed out the soaking drips of rain on Ryan's shirt from standing under that tree
and the white hail still in the meadow behind them!!
Awwww what memories!! lol

Ryan stayed through the reception dinner and then left late that night to head back to AZ!
He had originally planned not to come back for a couple more days.
But he missed us and we surely missed him!!

He drove all night and rolled into town in the wee hours of the morning!
