Back to School 2019

Date: Aug 7th

How did yet another summer break FLY by?!?!
Somehow here we are again starting a new year of school!
I can't even believe how fast the kids are growing up.

Anden - 7th Grade
Taylee - 6th Grade
Laiklyn - Kindergarten

Yes you read that correctly!
All 3 kids will be in the same school!
And somehow Laiky is old enough to be in all day kinder!!

Up earlier than we have been in months, dressed in spiffy new clothes, eating breakfast
and ready to conquer a new school year!

I followed Laiky all morning recording her.
It's tradition to make the first day of Kindergarten video.
Now if I could ever figure out how to compress it and post it here...I will! lol
For now you get pictures! :)

And of course Eastlie had to have her own sign too! haha

It's been a crazy ride since Anden had surgery,
but we made it and we're ready for school!!!

Ryan and I loaded up the scooters and stroller and walked them the block to school.

I loved how pumped the staff is on the first day of school.
They're all out there high five'ing the kids on the way in
while fun music plays over the sound system.
Definitely gets the kids excited!

Anden has PE first hour.
He really tried to escape without us walking in with him!

But we gave him big ole hugs first! lol

Then we went to Taylee's hallway.
She was thrilled to see lots of her friends where in her first class!

Then it was down to the Kindergartner playground and classrooms.
Laiky was a pro already and immediately told us "Ok bye Mommy and Daddy!" as she
sprinted away onto the playground!
Uhhhh wait kid! We get to go into your classroom with you! lol
You're not getting rid of us that easily!!

Then her teacher had the kids line up to enter the classrom.
Again, she marched on over like a total pro.
She's SO independent.
I'm like ok at least fake like you're going to miss your parents! haha

Once inside the classroom they put their bags in their cubbies, found their name cards on their tables,
and then sat on the big rug for first day instructions.

Which meant Eastlie immediately took over the play area!
Oh well, whatever keeps her quiet!

Ms. Francom read them a cute first day of school book.
(Fun fact: I've known Laiky's teacher for 10 years! She goes to our church!
We were so excited when she snagged Laiklyn to be in her class this year!)

Then they told goodbye to all the parents!
Daddy had a harder time leaving than Laiklyn did!!

Laiklyn is going to ROCK Kindergarten!
She's so ready for this!
And I love that her big brother and sister are right there if she ever needs anything!

Then we walked about home and Daddy left for work!
At that very moment...
Eastlie realized that yes in fact
she really does have Mommy ALL to herself! haha
