Location: Blackfoot, Idaho Falls, Mesa, Anthem
The dreaded day was here.
We had to head home.
I was a teary sad mess.
But all good things must eventually come to an end.
So I put on my brave fake smile
and off we headed for the airport.
It did help to run into one of our childhood best friends while waiting to board.
And as usual, I knew several others on the flight as well.
I love small towns!
We were in the back of the bus again.
Just where we belong.
Mom met us at the airport to give final Christmas gifts.
Anden's was perfect timing!
A new Lego set that kept the boys busy the entire 1.5 hr flight!
Which meant me & Taylee were left to entertain ourselves!
Finally we landed in AZ.
And were thrilled to find out we got to exit through the butt of the plane.
At least that seemed more natural.
Then we made our hour drive back to Anthem.
We were beat!
But the day was far from over.
It was our Christmas Eve.
So we carefully selected the items for his special cup & plate.
And after being gone for 12 days,
there wasn't a grand selection in the kitchen.
So Santa's on a gluten diet this year!
Just in case Santa forgot,
the kids also left their letters by his treat.
Last minute reminders are always helpful!
Then the kids were whisked to bed with
sheer excitement for Christmas morning to come shortly.
