Black Friday

Black Friday for us never really involves shopping.

That's just too insane for us.

Instead Ryan & Aaron left at 4am to go coyote hunting

and the rest of us lounged around at home

while fitting in a little of the smart kind of shopping.

Online shopping!

The mighty hunters finally arrived back home

with one measly dove!

Oddly they said the trip was still worth it!

And disgustingly enough,

they cooked it up

along with the Thanksgiving Rabbit massacre

and ate them both.

Yes of course my crazy brave son wanted in on the action too!

Bring on his first bout of food poisoning!

Later that day we taught the kids the joys of the

Turkey Wishbone.

Ready, Set,

GO!

As soon as I realized that Taylee "won",

I immediately started cheering for both of them.

I knew if Anden realized he "lost",

we would have a competitive fit on our hands! lol

After everyone got to make a Wishbone Wish,

we went over to the Outlets to see the Anthem Christmas tree

and Mr. Santa Claus himself.

And of course we might have gotten sucked into

the Black Friday shopping deals as well!

Entering Santa's house...

The kids quickly wrote/drew their list to give to Santa

Then the kids' big moment came.

First Anden & Taylee sauntered up and sat on Santa's lap.

Each shyly handed him their list and verbalized their wishes.

Taylee batted those big eyes and asked for a huge dollhouse.

Anden asked for a basketball hoop.

Then he paused for a moment and glanced back over to me.

I gave him the "go on" eye

So he turns back to Santa and quietly mumbles.

"and a new window please".

I didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Poor kid.

But Santa couldn't just let leave it alone.

Instead he joyfully asks,

"A window huh?!  Now why do you want a window?!"

Anden didn't answer and just looked at me desperate for help.

I saved him by saying three words.

"BB gun accident"

Santa then gave us a loud

"OOOOOOH I see!"

Then the ever questioning Taylee jumped in,

"Can you fit that into your sleigh?"

Luckily Santa reassured them that he once fit a car into his sleigh.

So they were content with that answer.

Taylee interview him a bit more about various topics.

Then they finally hopped off his lap.

Now Kyrrigan was ready for her inaugural Santa introduction.

She is such a happy baby.

She wasn't scared of him at all.

Everyone around just oohed and aahed over her!

During this all,

Papa Nolie was still in the corner laughing

about Anden asking Santa for a window.

C'mon Dad you're not making this life lesson any easier for me! lol 

After our humbling Santa visit,

we perked up with Frozen Yogurt.

After some shopping,

we took a final group pic by the Christmas Tree

and headed on home to bed!
