Location: Island Park, Blackfoot
Another gorgeous morning with fresh snow powder!
Then the nonstop snow removal process began!
So while the men worked,
me and the kiddos played!
We went Icicle Hunting
Tree Fort Making
Taylee quickly learned if you're gonna knock the snow off the branch.
Don't be standing underneath.
Mini Snowman Making
Big Snowman Recovery & Rebuilding
Finally we decided to join the motorized forces
I was taking the kids for a sled ride.
We had to pause for the snow blower tractor to pass.
Yes it did cross my mind to pull the kids under his spray!
I tried to delay it.
But sadly it was time to pack up and head out.
Usually we take our "final pose" picture with the lake in the background.
But Dad had a brilliant idea this time!
So we loaded up the kids in the truck.
I drove that while the boys drove the UTVs.
We had left the trailer back at the gate so it wouldn't get snowed in the driveway.
Well instead it got snowed in there.
Let's just say that was some pretty impressive skills of Dad's
to manage to back up the truck, hook up the trailer and haul it out
of 3 ft of untouched snow!!
I thought for sure we were gonna be stuck
or hit the gate again! ;-)
And then it was back...
On the Road Again!
(or as Taylee sings it, "On the Boat Again!")
And yes, as usual, the party is in the back!
That is until 1/3 of the party passed out 10 mins later!
As we were leaving Island Park we drove into the coolest storm!
It went from sunny and clear skies
to dark and hailing!
We peacefully traveled the 2 hrs back to Blackfoot.
The snow slowly started to leave us.
I have to admit
a tiny part of my soul was left behind too.
But it'll be there waiting for me next year!
Gosh I absolutely love snowy cabin days!
Thanks again Dad for another remarkable trip!
