This week is the last week of school for Anden!
The Kindergarten Classes are having their own Spirit Week!
Monday kicked it off with Water Day.
I had volunteered to help out.
Then Ryan had the day off at the last minute so he came along too.
It was such a fun time for the kids and adults!
Mrs. Gokool is the teacher behind all these fun activities.
So I love to show her my support for all she does for the kids.
She had it all mapped out and sent us on our way to set up the water stations.
She had elected to have it in the car drop off circle.
Because here in AZ,
the grass playgrounds are most dirt than grass.
So this would be cleaner!
We joked that the last water station would be the first aid station
from slipping on the asphalt.
But to our surprise nobody got hurt!
Prepping before the kids come out.
Release the Mini Maniacs!
Luckily the were only allowed to bring squirt bottles
and whatever supplies were provided there.
Then they busted out the huge beach ball that Anden's class won during the Boosterthon
Eventually Principal Barker was brave enough to come out
And they drenched him!
After a little break for the freezing kids to warm up,
(ya I guess 90 degrees at 10am wasn't warm enough!)
We did the Class Relay Race.
Each class member had to fill the bucket with water,
carry it over their heads,
then pour it in the huge bucket.
First bucket filled wins.
But one trick,
the little buckets have holes in the bottom
draining water out as they run!
Mrs. Gokool vs Mrs. Downing
and yes somehow my child was first in line rearing to go!
Grace was on the other team!
And the winner is...
Mrs. Gokool's Class!!
Anden was might excited!
Then the other 2 classes competed while our class cheered them on.
(or maybe not!)
Finally when we were done and back in the classroom
I was able to corral Anden for a picture!
The teachers thanked the volunteers profusely for making it such a great event.
But really I thanked them for letting me be a part of it!
