Clearly we spend tons of time at the lake!
This time Morts invited us and our friends The Johnsons
for the first family day on their new boat.
My kids had just left that morning for a Harbeck Family trip
to San Diego for a week.
I was devastated they were gone.
So a spontaneous lake trip was just the band aid I needed to soothe my broken heart.
Ryan rushed home from work and we all headed out!
I know my kids were having a blast but they would have loved this trip with their friends!
Good thing we'll have lots of future trips they can join in!
It was a typical Saturday afternoon at the lake,
meaning it was busy and the water was rough.
So we swam and tubed most of the trip!
Ryan gave it a turn too.

After the kids got their fill of tubing,
the big boys decided to take their turn.
Brady and Ryan went first.
Tyler was driving
and let's just say he really gave it to them!!
At one point they hit 2 huge waves in a row
When the tube came back down Brady didn't quite land right.
We all gasped as we saw him fold in half
the wrong way!!! lol
(and somehow I managed to get a pic of it!!)
Needless to say we immediately stopped the boat to make sure
he was alive and hadn't broken his back.
Which both scenarios were questionable at that point.
Oddly he was done tubing for the day.
We couldn't stop laughing
but days later when I found that picture and sent it to everyone
the laughter continued for a week straight!!
He's now officially The Scorpion King!
Next up for the torture tube were Tyler and Ryan.
These two had a very odd and questionable relationship!
I'm sure Ryan was more than relieved when Tyler got thrown off the tube! lol
Ashley wasn't as brutal of a driver to them.
But somehow they still managed to fly higher and crash harder than most I've seen.
However I was juggling Cash on my lap so I didn't get pics of that!
Tyler decided to brave the choppy water and try out wakeboarding behind the new tower

Eventually we pulled into our fave cove and swam, ate, and lounged around!
Before we lost all sunlight,
Tyler took another round of wakeboarding.
The water was finally somewhat decent!
As we made our way back to the marina,
we attempted a few pics on the bumpy ride.
These are classic selfie fails! lol
Finally we just had Noah attempt to take the pic!
Of course Ryan couldn't leave his boyfriend out!
They had in fact shared an intimate tube ride together.
We made use of the last spec of sunlight before we loaded up!
I love sunsets on the lake!!
