Location: Roosevelt Lake, AZ
We were up bright and early!
We made breakfast and then it was off on the water we went!
Anden voted to tube first.
We tried to talk him into something different since the water was glass
but he's a tube lover!
I looked back shortly after and the boys had somehow fallen out
while doing nothing!!
Yes Taylee and I got quite the laugh watching them struggle to get back on!
My little sidekick
Snacks, snacks and more snacks!
One of the best parts of boating! :)
So do I invest my hard earned money first on a haircut or teeth implants??
Hhmmm love this stage of life! lol
Playing on shore
Mud for Taylee
(Which meant Mud for me too! Mommy Mud Massages to be exact!)
Horseshoes for the boys
Then back out on the calm water to soak up the last of the sunlight

My little sidekick
Until she ditched me to tube with the boys to the dam
where they lounged eating goldfish crackers as I putted through the no wake zone.
The elusive driver.
Or more like I drew the short stick!
Crazy kids while Ryan still eats crackers
Priorities people
Finally we talked Anden into ditching the tube back at camp
and trying out the other water toys!
He opted for the comfort zone of kneeboarding first.
Then he decided to give wakeboarding a try.
He had a bit harder time remembering how to get up at our last lake trip in town
so he was a little reluctant to try it this trip.
But he nailed it!
Such a stud!
Taylee immediately was determined she wanted to try too.
It was her first time this year.
She had a hard time remembering how to get up too.
So after a few unsuccessful attempts she decided to save her energy for later.
Which means it was back to the tube
and this hot (as in sweaty hot!) momma got to join along!
Back to camp to chill
Teaching Taylee how to make a heart around the baby
Love our new Baby!
Yes that's Anden paddling in the distance.
Hence why there was time to chill peacefully on the tube! lol
Eventually we loaded up and headed for our daily ice cream fix at the Marina
Playing the Ring on a Rope to Throw on the Hook Game
(Yes the kids and Ryan spent so long trying to get it on. I walked over and did it in 2 trys! lol)
Heading back
and the closest you'll ever see to Taylee taking a nap.
She at least closed her eyes as she methodically placed pretzels in her mouth!
One of the best parts of boating! :)
New and enhanced duck lips!
Taylee Duck is sporting a tongue too.
Her real one is about that long also! :)

Then back out on the calm water to soak up the last of the sunlight
Then I decided it would be cool to take a sunset silhouette pose of the baby belly
Taylee tested out the lighting first!
Then I did my best to look graceful without tipping overboard! ;-)
But of course I can't just stand there seriously posing without feeling
like a complete idiot.
So I had to goof off a bit and couldn't stop laughing
which made my belly contract and really did almost tip me into the lake!
Now that's the picture you really wanted! ;)
After the wannabe pregnant model photo shoot turned comedy show,
we headed back to camp for dinner and the never ending UNO match!
May 26th - Memorial Day
Again we were up bright and early, ate breakfast, filled the boat with the last of the gas
and were on the perfect water!
It was just us and the ducks out!
Eventually everyone had a turn and weren't begging to go again.
I saw the lull spot and jumped right through it!
You see I had been dying this ENTIRE trip to get out there and wakeboard too.
Ryan was being the voice of reason and keeping me in the boat.
In fact we didn't even pack my wakeboard as to not tempt me.
But I cracked.
I couldn't waste this water and it was our last day.
C'mon honey I'm "only" 28 wks pregnant it'll be ok.
I grabbed Ryan's sasquatch feet board and promised I would just get a feel of the water
and not jump
and then drop and come back in the boat.
I may or may not have kept that promise! ;)
Giving the duckies High Fives!
You see there's NO proof how high I jumped...or didn't jump! :)
I was in heaven being back on the glass water.
I dropped soon after
with my hair still perfectly dry
and waited for someone to heave my big butt back into the boat! :)
Speaking of butts,
I could just pinch these two cute ones!
Sadly it was time to tear down camp,
overload the boat,
and head back to the dock.
We let the kids play while the adults did the work.
Funny how I used to be that clueless kid playing
and never knew how much work my parents put in to make Lake Trips so fun!
But I'll gladly take the payback because I love theses trips just as much to this day!
We got everything jam packed back into the boat and started the trek across the lake.
I was pulling the kids and Ryan in the tube.
Then Anden decided to stay out there himself.
As we're peacefully cruising along the lake
with the dock in sight about a 1/4 mile away,
the boat sputters and stops.
WHAT?!
I look at Ryan in a panic.
It's never done that before.
I try and start it again.
Sputter and stop.
What the heck!
Ryan comes over to check it out
and makes the brilliant conclusion that we ran out of gas!
lol oops!
Guess we did a little too much playing this morning!
So there we sat floating in the middle of the lake
with the launch ramp within our sight but out of our grasp!
I just started laughing as we nominated Ryan to be the fool that stood on the bow
waving the orange flags.
I tried to make it a game and talk the kids into helping him.
They were too smart for that.
"Mommy that's embarrassing!"
Lol you're right kids, hide with me here under the bimini! :)
Eventually a nice family came to our rescue and towed us in.
I couldn't help myself.
I snuck a picture against Ryan's wishes! :)
We humbly and graciously thanked them as they tied our
pathetic family of little kids and pregnant mom to the dock.
Then they took off
and we scrambled to figure out how to get on the trailer without gas.
Luckily Ryan is tough and manhandled us on himself!
I entertained the kids
(in the A/C car of course)
while Ryan tied everything down.
Then we made the 2.5 hr trek back home!
What an amazing weekend! :)
On the drive home my Dad texted me some REAL Memorial Day pictures.
I'm so proud of my heritage and wished we lived closer to family
in order to celebrate the true meaning of these "extra holidays".
My Grandpa Ralph Furniss who fought to protect this awesome country.
And my adorable 91 year old Grandma Norma Furniss
Now this wonderful weekend really was complete!
