A Day in Our Busy Lives

Enjoy a Day in My Life!

Hope you can keep up!! lol

We were up early and made breakfast for the kids.

Then we walked the big kids to school.

Then it was back home to load into the car to take Laiky to school.

Then it was over to the library for Story Time.

Then it was back to the school to pick up Anden and Taylee for lunch.

Then it was back to Laiky's school to pick her up for lunch.
Then it was a quick picnic in the car
before having to take the bigs back to school.
Then we took the littles to the pocket park for a bit.
Then back home for naps.
Needless to say Papa Nolie crashed asleep first! haha

Don't let the sunshine fool you.

It was so cold in the 50s!

There was a chilly breeze too.

Dad was happy he had at least brought his Dbacks pullover jacket...

cuz he wore it nonstop the whole trip since it was the only warm thing he had! lol

He did figure out if you wedged yourself into the slide and laid there

that you could soak up the sun's rays along with a warmed up slide!

So there he stayed the entire time! lol

After school it was quite the busy time.

I hurried and made an early dinner

and then got Taylee all hair and make up done for the play.

Grammie and Poppy both came up for dinner 

and then we all rushed over to the play to get in line for tickets.

This was the main reason that Dad decided to fly out here

is to see Taylee in her first Musical!

Then of course to have us wear him out for a week! lol

The play was SO cute and the kids all did amazing!

It was 4th-8th graders.

Taylee was part of the ensemble cast so she had 4 costume changes

and sang almost every song and performed 5 dances!

She was on the stage a lot!!

She's the munchkin with the white hat right behind Glinda the good witch.

The speaking parts were all 8th graders.

They did awesome!

They let the little kids (ok and Anden!) sit on the floor in front of all the chairs.

Eastlie was so excited and sat up there for the ENTIRE show!

I was shocked she stood still for that long.

Ryan and I just rotated who sat with her.

Taylee was a jitterbug in this scene (hiding behind the tree).

Their costumes were awesome for this one

and the song/dance were pretty advanced!

She's an Ozian in these scenes.

She's the green skirt with the green feather boa.

She's in the middle front row.

The monkeys were funny!

Although that's the part that freaked me out as a kid watching this movie! lol

(and yes that's Eastlie, Anden and Kal's heads!)

Finale and Cheering!

Even big brother enjoyed the show!

Then it was back home for dessert and celebrate a successful Opening Night!

Laiky was SO inspired by the production!

She had to run and hug Dorthy and several other cast members afterwards.

Then as soon as we got home she made herself a "costume" and was singing all the songs! lol

Such a fun night supporting Taylee and her hard work!

I just love that kid and how much she tackles.

She loves trying new things and expanding her talents.

She's been crazy busy juggling soccer and play practices

and of course still got straight A's.
