The big kids had Field Day at school today.
Taylee really wanted me to come.
So after I dropped Laiky off at school,
Eastlie and I headed back over to their school.
We made our way through the school and to the back fields.
There were kids everywhere.
We finally spotted Taylee's class on the basketball court.
She was running around playing some sort of game.
I turned to sit my stuff down
and turned back around and Taylee was running towards me with her face covered.
She buried herself into me sobbing.
I was so confused what had just happened.
She looks up at me and uncovers her face.
This is what I saw!!
Her friend Hannah was going for the ball at the same time and her head
smashed into Taylee's face.
Poor girly!!! She instantly had a black eye.
Gosh I felt so bad and told her that we'll just tell her teacher that we need to go get ice.
She was adamant that she didn't want to tell her teacher.
When I asked why she says,
"Mom because if I tell them I got hurt I'll have to sit out and I don't want to stop playing!"
lol yep that's my tough cookie Taylee!!!
Right then her PE teacher came up and saw her face
and talked her into going and getting ice.
So yep in the first minute I was there this happened.
Gosh my momma heart was so relieved that I ended up coming after all
and got there at the exact right moment!
Eastlie and I walked Taylee to the nurse and got the bag of ice.
She told her to sit out for a bit.
But as soon as we walked back to meet up with her class,
Taylee decided she was ok!
I could have called that one!!
Right then the classes were all switching stations.
So at least she had a couple more minutes to catch her breath
before the next station started!

Anden's class just happened to be the group ahead of Taylee's!
So it worked out perfect that I could sit in between the two groups
and watch them both at the same time!
Eastlie was so excited to see Anden and also confused as to why
he looked different now than an hour ago when he left for school! lol
I guess the "girls" wanted to paint his face!
And yes I just love that Anden isn't too cool to still be excited that his
baby sister came to school and wants to hang all over him! :)

Then Taylee rotated to the Tug of War station
This is how she looked after that station.
Poor kid!!
Everyone was so sweet to her and concerned she was ok.
She didn't really want all that extra attention.
She just wanted to play the sports! lol
But I'm sure it made her feel good inside.
I kept joking how she had 5 soccer games coming up that weekend
and that maybe it would scare her opponents that she already had a black eye!
Some random game that you scoop up balls and run them back to your team bucket.
I mean c'mon really? For Field Day?
In my day and age Field Day was legit track and field events!
Not this fake stuff! lol

Then I made these two take a pic.
Which instantly made Anden awkward pose! lol
Exciting day at the Diamond Canyon fields!
Then Eastlie and I ran back to pick up Laiky from school!
