Today was Anden's Class Holiday Program.
(Don't even get me started about not calling anything Christmas! ugh)
Laiklyn and I walked on over to the school to support him.
His class did a 'Holidays around the World' theme.
Anden had been assigned the Phillipines.
So weeks ago he and I did a bunch of research and submitted his project.
Then he was assigned a partner, who happened to be a friend from church,
and together they took both their projects and turned it into a final poster.
Anden had his first experience of "team work" not being fair
and commented often how he was doing all the work.
I assured him that happened to me almost every school project
but that in the end he'll learn the most and grow the most from his efforts.
So he trudged on and finished his poster over the next week at school.
He was definitely excited for me to see his final poster during the program!
The kids all did great reciting their memorized parts!
They did awesome creating their posters and
then telling us about different countries' holiday traditions.
Then they even surprised us with a little surprise dance
called the Blitzen Boogie!
It was super cute!
After the program they had refreshments.
Anden displayed his poster in all it's glory! ;)
Then later I found him IN Laiklyn's stroller.
Hhmm guess the 9 year old was worn out from standing during the program?!
Nice job Anden!
We love coming to school and seeing what you've learned!
