Dec 21st - Idaho Christmas Trip

Date: Dec 21st

We got up and hurried and repacked to head to Utah.
The kids were extra excited because we were
meeting Uncle Luke to get Brylee and Jeslynn to take with us!

So off we went on our next adventure.
(Ryan questioned my planning as he has already just driven 13 hours a mere 1.5 days ago!)
We were heading to Salt Lake City to visit Mom
who was still doing her radiation treatments at Huntsman Center.

And the traveling orphanage is on it's way!

Laiklyn was the only one that gave up and took a nap!

The 3 hyper ones sat in the way back with their build a bears

We finally made it to SLC and to the hospital.
Because of the upcoming flu season they didn't allow kids to go beyond the lobby.
So Ryan graciously kept all 5 kids outside in the parking lot
while I ran inside for a tour with Mom.

I was so happy to finally get a glimpse of what the past 6 weeks of her life has been like.
She introduced me to several of the workers that have been helping her
and showed me the different floors and amenities.
Then we headed back down to the lobby and let the kids come in for a bit to say hi!

Then we all loaded back up and headed over to Joseph Smith Memorial Building.
Who knew the Genealogy Center would be so fun?! lol

Then it was up to the top floor to the viewing area.
They have huge floor to ceiling windows that overlook Temple Square.
Such a pretty sight!!

And right after that picture Laiklyn fell off the 2 foot ledge onto her head.
Oops!

Eventually we made our way back down to the first level to eat at the Cafe.
Once we finished eating the Temple Square Christmas Lights turned on.
So we walked on over to check it out!

I haven't been to Temple Square in over 10 years.
My kiddos and Ryan never have!
So this was such a fun little adventure for us!
And even better to have Grandma, Brylee and Jeslynn with us too!

From there we loaded up and drove 25 mins to Aunt Jolene's house.
Ryan dumped us off and immediately headed to the airport
to pick up Jordan and Bree.
Then we finally all met back up at Jolene/Doug's and had one big sleepover!
