A big wet heavy snow storm rolled in during the night while we were in Salt Lake.
The kids were thrilled to wake up to tons of snow.
And not just any snow,
the wet sticky kind that's perfect for snow balls, snow forts and of course snow men!
Jordan and I had left super early to head to Huntsman with Mom
for her radiation appointment that morning at 7am.
Ryan again graciously stayed home with the orphanage.
As soon as we returned I got the kids geared up in snow clothes
and sent them outside to roam the cul de sac!
The panic stricken....HELP I'M FALLING!
Followed by the COME GET ME I'M STUCK!
Which is then wrapped up with the
I'M JUST GOING TO LAY HERE UNTIL YOU CARRY ME!!
Snow Man Building
Jeslynn and Laiklyn took a break to dry out
(literally the snow was so wet they were soaked!)
The finished Snow Man!
At this point I drug all the kids in to wring out their clothes
and dry off.
Taylee and Byrlee had taken off their hats
and their hair was soaking wet like they had just gotten out of the shower!
It's been a long time since I've seen snow that wet!
So while the kids relaxed the adults packed up the car yet again
and we headed to Scheels to play for a few hours.
There's a ferris wheel inside the store.
Grandma watched Laiklyn so the rest of us could go for a ride!
Taylee and Jeslynn got on first
Not sure what the matching faces were about! lol
Next up: Brylee and Anden
Then even the parents got a turn....with kids spying on us in the background! lol
We laughed how this was our first Ferris Wheel ride together!
I spy a miniature Grandma and Laiklyn down below!
Jordan and Bree had headed to Orem to his office to meet some new employees.
So they met up with us for lunch at Scheels afterwards.
We wandered around the store a bit more
then eventually said our good byes and started the 3+ hour trek back to Idaho.
Poor Anden was the next in the family to succumb to the flu bug.
So we had to stop halfway home for him to throw up too. :(
We wore this kiddo out!
And the big brother too!
Then Brylee too!
But of course the two crazy girls (Taylee and Jeslynn) who needed the naps the most
held on and stayed awake! lol
Luke, Melanie and Trexten met us at Dad's house.
We hung out for a bit and then they loaded up their girls and made the final leg home.
Dad also got taken out by the flu bug the whole time we were gone!
Oops! Sorry!!!!
He now had a new understanding of the misery!
I had texted him to tell him we were on our way back and
warned him that now Anden was infected and puking.
He sent me this picture with the caption,
"Elfy is ready for you guys!"
LOL I just love his humor!
And no worries
no Elfys were harmed or actually puked on.
