Since early October I've been gathering new Christmas Decor.
I figure it's been a good 5+ years with the same color scheme
so it was time to mix it up.
I stuck with a more neutral palette that matched the rest of the house.
So this year it's a Rustic Glam Christmas
full of metallics, woods, sparkles and natural elements!
Of course I couldn't just buy everything from a store.
I had to make a lot of the decor too!
I quickly learned when I moved into this house
that stores never have pre-made wreaths that fit my door.
So that was one of the first things I tackled.
Then I found an awesome wood sign and
I immediately bought it.
But then decided I could make a similar one for way less than the $45 I spent.
So another project started.
(sometimes this whole I'm somewhat crafty and frugal thing sucks! lol)
I found some old wood in the garage
from when we built the wood planked wall in our master bedroom.
So I stained it and then sanded it down lightly.
Then I got some craft paint I had and free-handed "Believe"
and finally finished it with a glitter spray paint and top coat.
Good thing I liked my version way better than the original one I bought!
And it only took me an hour to make!
So while I was at it I made one for my sister Lyndsay.
Then made a similar sign for my nativity!
I tinkered and tweaked things all month long.
But ultimately here's some of our Christmas Decor.
(somehow I didn't get pics of the other rooms or staircase! Ugh!
Maybe that's because I was only home 2 weeks of December!)

I was so giddy to get the house all decorated with the new Christmas decor.
The kids saw it and were confused...
Um where's the Christmas stuff?
There's no color?
Why do we always do white lights?
Then ever positive Taylee says.."Well at least Elfy is red."
Hhmm well at least the adults like the decor!
Maybe? Hopefully! lol
Merry Christmas...
even if my house doesn't look like
Blitzen and Sh*tzen helped decorate! ;)
