Anden is officially
SEVEN!!
He had quite the big day on Wednesday!
Not to mention he had already had two birthday parties!
But we like to keep the birthday fever going for at least a week around here!
He came bounding down the stairs ready for excitement and presents!
(with the usual best bed head ever!)
Then it's time to bust through the streamer door!
I asked him to please put his arm around his sister for a picture.
Didn't work.
Well at least I know another year older hasn't changed him!
Then it was more than time to open presents!
I let him think presents were done.
But really his big gift was hiding in the guest bathroom.
I went into the kitchen to prepare breakfast.
He and Taylee were happily playing away with his new toys.
I hollered back to ask him to get me a towel from the bathroom.
He reluctantly agreed.
And somehow he didn't notice me following him with the camera.
Or even notice the HUGE item in the bathroom covered with a sheet.
Instead he walked in there and asked
"Do you want a big towel or a little towel?"
lol c'mon buddy open your eyes!
Taylee exclaimed Mom what is THAT?!
I finally replied (holding back laughter),
"I don't know. Maybe you should see Anden!"
Then he excitedly hopped on that new bike and rode it right out of there!
I definitely think this is the face of a HAPPY boy!
Then we moved onto breakfast!
I let the kids pick what they want to eat for their birthday meals!
Anden thoughtfully chose
"A pancake as big as my plate with whipped cream on top and cookies!"
I'm just that cool (or irresponsible) to allow that!
I'll admit that when he couldn't finish his last few bites
I decided to sneak a taste.
Then I devoured the rest.
Dang buddy great idea!
That's delicious! lol
We hurried and got ready.
So he would have time to test out the new bike before school!
Finally I peeled him off his bike and loaded into the car.
Then just like that my 7 year old was off to school!
*sniff sniff*
But never fear I was back at the school at 1:30pm
to bring his class treats.
He was quite the celebrity and handed them out during recess
after the class sang Happy Birthday to him.
The girls were fighting over who got to stand by him in line.
Literally.
Another girl ran up and handed him a hand drawn card and ran back into line.
Another one tried to kiss him.
I'm so thankful he's CLUELESS to their affection! lol
Later that night we headed to dinner.
He chose Red Robin
"Because you get that yummy ice cream sundae afterwards!"
And if he hadn't gotten enough gifts already,
there were more waiting for him from Ryan!
We ate yummy food.
Then the coveted birthday sundae arrived!
Anden was in heaven!
Happy Birthday my BIG boy!
I love you more than you'll ever know!
