We managed to fit in our usual summer swim lessons again this year.
Even though the kids know how to beginner swim.
I feel it's one of the most important skills for them to continue to improve.
It's one of the few life saving skills they can acquire!
Especially since we are water lovers!!

The classes started right when we got back from Idaho.
The kids were so excited.
Or maybe I should say Taylee was.
She was in the advanced class with all the older boys,
including her brother.
So it was the cute little 4 yr old girl taking on the 6-7 yr old boys!
At the end of each class,
Ms. Lindsey picks someone to be the shark to chase the kids and tag them.
Taylee was the lucky shark on the 2nd day.
It's a 2 wk session.
But the lovely monsoons ended up cancelling a few classes.
So it became a 3 wk session.
That ended up in our favor.
As Anden was so sick for an entire week and missed one class.
But would have missed several more if Mother Nature hadn't intervened.
So he joined in the following week.
Hhmm someone is missing
One of the days as it began pouring right before class
and we were texting to see if it was cancelled,
we were outside watching the storm.
Ms Lindsey texted back confirming class was cancelled & to practice breast stroke arms instead.
I sent her a pic back.
Taylee already was! lol
The following week Anden was able to join in the fun!
He was still really weak but kept up.
Too bad his little sister surpassed him in the swimming skills during that time.
She was thrilled.
He wasn't.

Oh here he is cuddled up on Mommy watching his class!

And on the last day Taylee got picked as the Shark again.
Then they got treats and awards!
I was so proud of Anden for finishing this set of lessons
even though he was so sick for some of it.
But I secretly busted up laughing at his award.
"Best Back Floater"
Well duh cuz he was half dead floating on his back most of the time! ;-)
Taylee got the
"Best Front Stroke" award.
And Ms. Lindsey told me she also won the Cutest award.
She did had some stiff competition from the 4 other boys! ;-)
Group picture with their class and some kids from the Intermediate class!
Great job everyone!
They all improved so much from last year!!
