I like to find any reason to have fun!
So we decided to have a little celebration for making it through the 1st day of school!
The parents needed the pat on the back
as much as the kids!
So the Mortensens met us for ice cream after school!
Oh and let me also mention that it was 113 degrees with 60% humidity!
Combine that with the 1st day disastrously long pick line
and we were all dripping with sweat and ready to devour something cold!!
Crew had his 1st day of Preschool!
They'll learn how to get your ice cream in your mouth next week.
The kids' bench was an all out wrestling match.
We tried to ignore them to our best abilities!

Then we went home and found a redneck way to stay cool in this wretched heat!
We stayed out there for hours!
These two together on the trampoline are like a whirlwind of legs and arms flying everywhere.
They alternate between laughing and crying by the minute.
But every time I threaten to split them up if they don't keep their hands to themselves,
they instantly beg to continue to play together.
LOL Ok I guess have at it!
Five minutes later
we had a Bleeder.
Luckily all were still happy and right back to their jumping madness skills!
What a great FIRST DAY all around!
