Morning Blanket Rides around the house.
Wheeee! lol
(at this point it might be the most sledding they get!)

That cute little tongue always makes an appearance when she's concentrating!
I knew that old school lighting had a purpose!!
Ornament Drying Station
I made Ryan hang them up though.
I'm still scarred to touch the lights
from seeing a mouse shadow running inside there as a kid.

Then we moved outside for motor related rides!
Taylee had begged for us to teach her how to drive too.
I gave in and let her have at it.
You think she's excited?! lol
Pretty much her theme song when it comes to her big brother is
"Anything you can do I can do better!" :)
Of course to keep it fair Anden got his turn driving also
Then we headed back to get everyone else for a family ride to the gravel pits
Once we got there it was SO cold
that Laiklyn and I decided to sit in the RZR and watch
these crazy people tear it up!
Laiklyn eventually ditched me also
to take a nice warm nap.
Really she just gave up because she was so bundled up she couldn't move!
Ryan decided to even let Anden and Taylee drive up these huge hills!
They're all nuts!
(Videos to come!)
Heading back home!
Later that afternoon it started snowing!
This time the kids didn't even wait for it to hit the ground before eating it! lol
Even Laiklyn had to get in on the action!
Next up:
Making treats for the cabin
Brownies, Caramels
And Ryan's speciality Rice Krispies!
(ok nothing better than a sexy man teaching a little girl how to cook!)
Dad had disappeared into the downstairs "store"
(aka fruit room, storage room, scary spider room, etc)
and came back up with the ingredients.
He even had red/green rice krispies to use!
Perfect!
The snow was still falling so we had to take a timeout to eat that instead!
Well after the rice krispies cooled,
we jumped in for a taste test.
We both shoved a mouthful and then stared at each other.
Something was definitely off.
Ryan immediately grabbed the cereal box and checked the expiration date
(Dad has a love for keeping items WAY beyond their hey day)
Ryan just shook his head in defeat
"Why haven't I learned yet to check the expiration date first?!?"
What are you saying? 10 year old rice krispies are a bad thing?! ha ha
When we finally told Dad his reply,
"Well good thing you didn't check the marshmallows! They've been down there longer! lol"
Looks like the horses are getting Christmas Rice Krispies this year!
At this point the kids were starting to go a little stir crazy
so I busted into my mom bag of activities.
Ornament decorating here we go!

Then we finally all sat down and introduced Papa Nolie to
Elsa and Anna.
While Taylee literally narrated every single line and song lyric
right into his ear for the next 2 hours. :)
