Idaho Trip - December 20th

Date: December 20th
Location: Island Park, ID

Another beautiful day at the cabin!
But today was even better because
we had additional cousins to play with in the snow!

We love slow lounging mornings

with big farmer breakfasts!

Didn't take long before the kiddos were outside.

Luckily I was safe from Taylee's snowball!

Too bad she wasn't safe from Anden's snowball!

After he got scolded for smashing a snowball in his sister's face,

he was off to sled with Jeslynn.

Little Laiklyn got her first cold the previous night.

So I stayed inside with this sad little goopy eyed runny nose munchkin most of the day.

I was bummed not to play outside with everyone else

but I'll take the baby loves instead!

Not too sick to give me smiles though!

Eventually I headed out with the rest of the crew.

Aaron had dug his usual hole in the ice

to catch his usual non existent fish.

Unfortunately this area somehow becomes home base.

Quite the trek from the cabin!

Somehow Taylee got stuck on fish watching duty

(or maybe she was just taking a break!)

It snowed all day with a balmy 30 degrees!

Who knew Luke could move like that?!

I bet he was singing Taylor Swift in his head! ;)

I swear one year this kid is gonna end up falling into that ice hole!!

Finally someone to pick on Anden!

Then the girls joined forces against Uncle Lukey.
Looks like Anden learned not to pick on him! lol

I thought this dogpile was so cute...

until I realized Luke was face down in the snow!!!

My heart jumped and I went into mom panic mode to save him.

Then I remembered he was 10 times the size of those lil girlies

and could throw them off if he really couldn't breathe! lol

Yes he really is under that snow pile face down!

I would have had a claustrophobia panic attack lol

(I'm sure my siblings can still hear me yelling "I can't breathe!!")

Finally it was time to head inside and warm up!!

And play with this little cutie!

Oh how she wishes she could go outside!

Indoor play and always eating!

Papa Nolie whipped out some presents for the kiddos

Wranglers and Belts for all!

Then sadly it was time for Luke and the girls to head back to Idaho Falls

and to Brylee's final basketball game.

We were so disappointed to see them go but wished her good luck!

After the kids sulked around for a bit that Brylee and Jeslynn were gone,

we realized there was about 1 hr of daylight left.

So we bundled up and headed out to play!

 

We drove over to Lakeside Lodge to scope it out.

We found MASSIVE icicles there!

 

 

Ahh they're safely back in their cages! ;)

Testing out the new hat Dad gave Ryan! lol

Eventually we were freezing and headed back.

Taylee had a super loose tooth for the last few days

so we gave her the courage to yank that thing out.

She sat on the bathroom counter and wiggled and wiggled it

until we heard her SQUEAL with delight.

Another lost tooth!

We were telling Kyrrigan that Taylee lost a tooth! 

The adorable little girl says,

"Taylee lost tooth! I go find it!"

lol love that kid!

Later that night Ryan and I finally escaped for some alone time

to go buy baby formula! (lol we never fully escape the kids!)

We decided to stop in the middle of the snowy road

and test out my new phone's self timer function! 

Yes I did realize I'm not 15 years old anymore during that hand stand

as my head about exploded due to the excess blood rushing to it! lol

But what's better (or worse!) is realizing it took burst shots of 

the ungraceful way I ended up in that hand stand!!

Um I swear there was no funny business going on! lol

Too bad it didn't capture the sound bursts too.

It was straight up grunting along with nonstop laughing.

And on that high note,

we ended our night!
