Idaho Winter Trip 2019 - Dec 28th

Date: Dec 28th

The second we got there....the kids were outside to play in the snow.
And of course eat the snow too!!

Lyndsay, Kyrrigan and Aislynn were still there.
They had gotten there before Christmas and Aaron flew back yesterday.
Darn we barely missed him!
But we were thrilled the girls stuck around longer to play with us!!

I guess there hadn't been any snow the whole time they were there.
But woohoo it arrived just before we did!
(yes I know it's barely any snow but we'll take what we can get! lol)

Laiklyn was immediately off to the swing set!

Such dry fluffy snow.
But they managed to make a mini pile of it.
Definitely not snowman making snow!

Snow Angels!

Uhh maybe I should have reminded her how to properly make a snow angel! lol

Cute cousins!

Papa Nolie and the wild ones!
(minus the wildest one who was napping!)

Well I guess Laiky's style of making snow angels caught on.
Who knew she had figured out how to multitask eating snow while making an angel! haha

Love when it's so cold the snowy frost just hangs on the tree branches!

Apparently Anden photobombed this one in mid worm dance! haha

Papa Nolie has a big dirt mound in his backyard.
The kids decided to make it a sled hill with the 1 inch of powder snow on it.
Somehow I thought this was a good idea too.

It was fun for about 5 mins.
Then Anden decided to ride down on same sled as Laiky
but slipped and let go before he was on.
Laiky had slid to the very front of the sled
and yep she faceplanted at the bottom of the hill.
Normally that would be painless
if you had more than 1 inch of snow.
Needless to say we can scratch off "bloody lip and scraped bloody cheek"
from our Idaho Winter Trip Bucket List!
We're so efficient.
Got that one done in the first few hours we were there!! oops

The sledding "hill" was immediately banned and we moved on to other dangerous activities!

Finally the sun set and it was back inside for more gift exchanges!
The never ending Christmas of presents I tell ya!
